Join our Research and Development team at Getica, a subsidiary of Gentian Diagnostics, in Gothenburg as Product Development Scientist / Research Scientist and contribute to the development of cutting-edge IVD products. This temporary 12-month position offers you the opportunity to play a key role in advancing immunoassays for clinical chemistry analysers, making a real impact on global healthcare.

Key responsibilities

  • Product development: Contribute to exploratory work and early product development of immunoassays for clinical chemistry analysers.
  • Laboratory work: Perform experimental work and support maintenance and troubleshooting of internal instruments to ensure reliable results.
  • Project collaboration: Take part in cross-functional R&D projects through the exploratory, proof-of-concept, and optimization phases.
  • Clinical and regulatory support: Support preparation of technical documentation in collaboration with QA and RA.
  • Educational background: M.Sc. or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related natural science discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably within the IVD or medical device industry. Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation is required. Experience with immunoassays, either in development or routine use, and working with clinical chemistry analysers is an advantage.
  • Technical proficiency: Skilled in data analysis and relevant software (MS Office Excel and Word, Analyse-It for Excel or other statistical tools).
  • Language skills: English is the official company language. Ability to communicate in Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Personal attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical, and well organized, with a proactive and self-driven approach. Flexible and positive mindset, with strong communication skills and a clear customer focus. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
