Plasma and serum calprotectin at AACC 2020

Meet us at #2020AACC Virtual Exhibit Hall

Gentian will be participating in the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo for the fourth time this year. You will find us at our virtual booth, and in the poster session where we will, together with research collaborators, present two posters related to the value of calprotectin in management of COVID-19 patients.

We invite you to use promo code 26138E for a free virtual Clinical Lab Expo pass. Please note that you will need to be registered with the AACC (it’s free) to use the promo code.

Plasma and serum calprotectin

Calprotectin is a promising biomarker for early prediction of severe events in critically ill patients, such as patients with sepsis or COVID-191-4. The biomarker can also be used to differentiate between bacterial and viral infections5,6

GCAL® Calprotectin advantages

Gentian’s plasma and serum calprotectin assay, GCAL®*, is a Particle-Enhanced Turbidimetric Immunoassay and is therefore rapidly performed in only 10 minutes.

  • Can be applied on most automated platforms
  • Avian antibodies are used in the assay to reduce interference
