We are looking for a new colleague in the position of an Application Sales Specialist, working remotely, for our US organization. The person will fill a permanent position and will start as soon as possible. 

This is an opportunity for highly motivated candidates with a customer first attitude, experienced in the field of IVD clinical chemistry application support.  

The Application Sales Specialist will be part of the Gentian commercial team with a primary focus to support US customers and partners, both in the field and remotely, with installations and product related questions as it relates to the implementation of Gentian assays on clinical chemistry instruments. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Customer visitation, both pre and post-sales 
  • Provide first line, technical, timely product support  
  • Work with and support US Based OEM partners both remotely and on-site 
  • Work with the global marketing team to develop US based sales materials 
  • Represent Gentian at industry conferences 
  • Prepare and present product and training presentations upon customer request 
  • Work with US Based Business Development Manager (reporting relationship) to strategize on accounts and develop continuous ways to grow customer base 
  • Consistent communication with internal resources (including Norwegian colleagues) on routine basis 
 

Preferred qualifications and skills: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific fields 
  • Five years relevant studies/work experience can compensate for lack of formal degree 
  • Extensive practical/lab experience, and/or 3-5 years in technical sales or field-based customer support 
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of molecular biology, clinical chemistry, and immunoassays 
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to customer satisfaction 
  • Technical training experience is highly desirable 
  • Experience with CRM software highly desirable

  • Willingness to travel, including internationally 
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
